black is good, right?

After doing a little degreasing on the frame, I broke out the Eastwood Rust Encapsulator and brush and got to painting the exposed portion of the frame and the exposed metal around where I've been cutting and hacking. Still have more to do, but it's progress. Then the reconstruction begins...

There's nothing quite like the sight of encapsulated rust. It's like imprisoning evil in a dark jail cell. Or something like that.

One bit of warning, though: welding next to or on the back of that stuff makes for a horrible stink. Probably best not to breathe the vapors. :)

yeah, I remember that from when we were welding on Patches. I plan to grind it off at the welds, but I'm sure I'll burn some of it, so also plan to have a nice respirator too.
